Camp Director

Dr. Ryder was born and raised in central Illinois. He holds a DMA in Church Music from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2023), an MM in Piano Performance with a Graduate Certificate in Piano Pedagogy (2013) from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN, and a BA in Christian School Music Education – K-12 (2011) from God’s Bible School & College in Cincinnati, OH.

He assisted with music at Home Missionary Church in Neoga, IL from January 2012 – July 2014 and as a Piano and Voice Instructor at Lucas Ryder Music Studio from September 2011 – June 2014. He served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at ISU from August 2011 – May 2013 and an Adjunct Instructor at Lake Land College, teaching courses in music history and appreciation, in Mattoon, IL from August 2013 – December 2013. Dr. Ryder has worked for Hobe Sound Bible College since August 2014 holding the positions of Registrar (2014-2017) and Music Department Chairman (2017-present)

In June 2014, Dr. Ryder married his wife, Alanna, and they have three children: Alice Levi, and Louisa. They enjoy living in sunny, South Florida and enjoying all that this area has to offer!
